Rob Lavado
Rob Lavado is the Vice President of Regulatory and Quality of AVS Pulse. Before joining AVS, Rob spent 7 years as the Director of Regulatory affairs for Corindus, Inc. During his tenure at Corindus, he led the regulatory strategy and global expansion for the company’s second generation robotic system. The work of Rob and his team also helped lead to the first remote robotic interventional heart procedure – completed by a physician located more than 20 miles from the patient, and the first in-human robotic neurovascular intervention procedure. These milestones led to a $1.1 billion acquisition by Siemens Healthineers. Prior to joining Corindus, Rob held roles at ConforMIS where he helped conduct regulatory strategy leading to the company’s IPO and Covidien where he oversaw the global registrations for their Biosurgery division. In total he brings over 17 years of medical device experience to AVS. Mr. Lavado holds a Masters of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
